BANGKOK, Jan 3 (TNA) – Thai police are investigating three foreign nationals who were captured on video BASE jumping from a high-rise building in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok.
The video, which surfaced on social media on January 1, appeared to show the men parachuting from the building before calmly riding away on motorcycles. Initial investigations revealed the video had been previously posted on October 17, 2024, with the original footage dating back to October 3, 2024. This timeline established the incident occurred on October 3, 2024.
Immigration records identified them as American citizens who entered Thailand between September and October 2024 and departed in October 2024.
Police Colonel Phansa Amarapithak, Superintendent of Thonglor Police Station, confirmed that they are coordinating with the management of the shopping mall from which the men reportedly jumped. They could face charges of trespassing under Article 362 of the Criminal Code. -819 (TNA)
