HONG KONG, May 29 (TNA) — Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee this morning met at the Office of the Chief Executive, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for a bilateral meeting.
The Thai Prime Minister and Hong Kong Chief Executive were pleased to meet again after a bilateral meeting during the Prime Minister’s visit to Hong Kong October last year, according to the Thai Government House’s website.
Thailand and Hong Kong have forged close economic cooperation with an increase in mutual trade value. Mr Lee commended Mr Srettha’s vision on investment promotion, whereas the Prime Minister praised Hong Kong’s excellent investment and MICE infrastructures.
The two parties were pleased with tourism cooperation.
Mr Srettha thanked Hong Kong for allowing Thailand to organize Songkran Festival in Hong Kong which further strengthens people-to-people contact and tourism cooperation.
Thailand and Hong Kong also committed to continue to work together in promoting closer trade and investment cooperation. (TNA)
