BANGKOK, Nov 14 (TNA) – The Thai Meteorological Department has announced that Thailand has entered the winter season.
The country officially transitioned into winter today (November 14). The minimum temperature in northern regions of Thailand is expected to drop below 23 degrees Celsius, classified as cool weather in many areas.
The prevailing wind direction covering Thailand at altitudes from 100 meters to 3,500 meters will shift to the northeast or east. Meanwhile, at higher altitudes above 5,000 meters, the wind will change to westward.
However, at the beginning of this winter season, some areas in northern Thailand are forecasted to experience rainfall, while heavy rain is expected to persist in the southern region. (TNA)
