SAMUT PRAKAN, Aug 25 (TNA) – The new prime minister Srettha Thavisin on Friday embarked on a mission to Phuket and Phang-nga to meet locals and entrepreneurs and listen to their problems.
He started his trip by meeting executives of Suvarnabhumi Airport to discuss the airport expansion projects.
Accompanied by head of Pheu Thai’s policy and working committee on tourism Prommin Lertsuridej, Srettha departed for the two-day field visit to the two Andaman coastal provinces.
Upon arriving in Phuket, he also planned to meet with airport executives to discuss expanding the airport to accommodate more tourists.
In the afternoon, the mission continued with meetings with private sector entrepreneurs in Phuket at the Ramada Plaza Chao Fah Hotel. The discussion centered on the provincial development strategy. Following this, he met with business owners and tourists in the old town area and, in the evening, with entrepreneurs and tourists on Bangla Road, Patong Beach, to discuss problems and limitations regarding the operation of entertainment venues in the Patong Beach area.
