CHIANG RAI, Dec 21 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha opened a festival of information and communication technology inventions by Thai and Japanese students and inspected a 5G digital agricultural project in Chiang Rai province.
The delegation of Gen Prayut who is also the defence minister boarded an air force airplane from Don Muang, Bangkok, to Mae Fah Luang airport in Chiang Rai.
In the northernmost province he first opened a festival of ICT inventions by Thai and Japanese students at the auditorium of Princess Chulabhorn Science High School Chiang Rai. He also presented honorary plaques to sponsors and nine students. There he saw the development of games by Thai and Japanese students and ICT innovations by Mae Fah Luang University and Chiang Mai University.
In the afternoon the prime minister visited a pilot project on 5G-based digital agriculture at the Pha Mee training center. There he was briefed on the project aimed at growing plants with high value. He was set to return to Bangkok at about 6pm. (TNA)
