BANGKOK, Nov 17 (TNA) – The Ministry of Culture had its performers rehearse for their show during a gala dinner of APEC participants at the Royal Thai Navy Convention Hall tonight.
It was the second dress rehearsal when light, sound and security systems were completely checked. The gala dinner was set at the convention hall at 8pm tonight.
Culture Minister Itthiphol Kunplome said his ministry was responsible for all performances in the gala dinner. The performances will reflect the theme of “Open. Connect. Balance.” for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.
There will be a concert of famous Thai singers and the band of the armed forces, followed by a fashion show of Thai silk created by designers from 21 economies of APEC.
Then there will be contemporary art and cultural shows which will present both traditional and contemporary arts.
Mr Itthiphol said he believed APEC participants would be also impressed with special dishes created to introduce foods from all regions of Thailand. Each dish will be served along with relevant narration.
In addition, there will be a Loy Krathong ceremony to give first-hand experience in the tradition to APEC participants. (TNA)
