BANGKOK, Nov 10 (TNA) – Roads and expressway sections will be temporarily closed twice this evening for officials to rehearse the motorcades of participants in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.
From 4.30pm to 8pm , Phitsanulok Road ( from Misakawan Intersection to Si Sao Thewes – Intersection), Ratchadamnoen Road, Na Phra Lan Road, Na Phra That Road, Maharaj Road (Tha Chang Intersection to Tha Tian Intersection), Thai Wang Road, Sanam Chai Road ( from Territorial Defence Command Intersection to Pom Phadet Intersection), Somdet Phra Pinkhao Bridge will be closed for the purpose.
From 9pm to 3am tomorrow, road closure will happen in three parts comprising:
1. Roads to the Phra Ram II/IV expressway entrance/exit: Phloen Chit Road (from Ratchaprasong Intersection to Phloen Chit Intersection), Sukhumvit Road (Ploen Chit Intersection to Soi Sukhumvit 22), Ratchadamri Road (Ratchaprasong Intersection to Sala Daeng Intersection), Wireless Road (Witthayu) (from Ploen Chit Intersection to Witthayu Intersection), Ratchadapisek Road (Asoke-Montree Intersection to Rama IV Intersection ), Rama IV Road (from Sala Daeng Intersection to Rama IV Intersection, and Sathorn Road (from Witthaya Intersection to Narinthorn Intersection ).
2. Roads to the Yommarat expressway entrance/exit : Phetchaburi Road (Urupong Intersection to Yommaraj Intersection), Phitsanulok Road (from Yommaraj Intersection to Misakawan Intersection), Ratchadamnoen Road, Na Phra Lan Road, Na Phra That Road, Maharaj Road (Tha Chang Intersection to Tha Tian Intersection), Thai Wang Road, Sanam Chai Road (from Territorial Defence Command Intersection to Pom Phadet Intersection), Somdet Phra Pinkhao Bridge.
3. Expressway sections at the Surawong entrance, the Silom exit, the Urupong exit, the Yommarat entrance/exit, the Phaya Thai interchange, the Makkasan interchange, the Ploenchit expressway entrance/exit and the Phra Ram II/IV expressway entrance/exit.

The road closure will facilitate preparation for motorcade traffic for participants in the APEC summit to be organized from Nov 14 to 19. The road closure for such rehearsals on Nov 6 was problem-free. (TNA)
