NONG BUA LAMPHU, Oct 6 (TNA) – At least 32 people, primarily children were killed in a mass shooting at a child daycare center in the northeastern province of Nong Bua Lamphu.
About 18 people were injured and sent to hospital.
The gunman, who was a former police officer carried out the attack at about 1 p.m. Thursday and fled in a white pick-up truck. The police launched a manhunt to find him. Police said he had been discharged for drug-related reasons.
After the incident, the mass shooter, identified as Panya Kamrab shot wife and child before killing himself.
Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-ocha expressed condolences to families of those who died.
Blood donations are needed at Nong Bua Lamphu Hospital after the mass shooting which left several people injured. (TNA)
