BANGKOK, July 16 (TNA) – Thonburi Healthcare Group PCL (THG) informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) that it was really negotiating the procurement of mRNA COVID-19 vaccine doses but did not give a timeframe for contract signing for the procurement.
THG told SET that it was negotiating the import of COVID-19 vaccine doses developed with mRNA technology and was filing documents with overseas dealers. It said it was discussing the issue with concerned agencies and would later inform SET of the time when it would seal the deal when the matter was clearly concluded.
Earlier THG chairman Dr Boon Vanasin said his group’s negotiation on the procurement of 20 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by Pfizer might be concluded today.
Yesterday he announced to sign the procurement contract but Pfizer denied it. Later he avoided questions, saying that the Securities and Exchange Commission told him to be quiet on the issue; otherwise, he would be held responsible for stock manipulation. (TNA)
