BANGKOK, April 7 (TNA) – Sony Pictures Entertainment will open its first amusement and water park in Bang Saray of Chon Buri province, according to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.
The prime minister wrote on his Facebook page that the world-renowned content producer planned to open its first amusement and water park in Bang Saray sub-district of Chon Buri that is within the Eastern Economic Corridor. It is a joint venture project with Amazon Falls (Thailand) Co.
“Negotiations for the project have continued for nearly two years. The investment will not only attract tourists but also create jobs and income for Thai people and Thailand,” Gen Prayut wrote.
The Columbia Pictures’ Aquaverse will use new technologies including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and immersive entertainment technologies to provide visitors with virtual experiences in meeting famous characters in movies’ settings. People of the new generation would have chances to learn and develop skills and creativity in the context of digital content that had very high value, the prime minister wrote.
“In June they will arrive to sign the contract. The first phase will then be inaugurated. The full-scale park will open in October next year,” Gen Prayut wrote. (TNA)
