RAYONG, August 25 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday met local business community of the eastern provinces as part of his trip for a mobile cabinet meeting in Rayong.
In the first mobile cabinet meeting since the latest reshuffle early this month, the government aims to boost morale of people in Rayong. The eastern province was hit hard by the risk of COVID-19 exposure from a COVID-19 infected Egyptian airman visiting public places in the province in July.
Prayut held the meeting with private enterprises and innovators for talks on economic and social development for the eastern provinces comprising Chachoengsao, Chon Buri and Rayong.
According to government press office, the aim of the mobile cabinet meeting is to expedite the recovery of the local economy.
The eastern provinces are hosting numerous investment projects under the government’s flagship Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC)
On Monday, the prime minister inspected and opened a motorway extension for U-Tapao International Airport in Rayong. (TNA)
