BANGKOK, Aug 6 (TNA) – Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-ocha sent a message of condolence to his Lebanese counterpart, Hassan Diab over a deadly explosion in the Lebanese capital Beirut, that killed more than 100 people and injured 4,000 others.
Prayut said he has learned with profound sorrow of the massive explosions in Beirut on 4 August 2020, which have resulted in many casualties and damages to buildings and properties in the city.
“On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the Thai people, I wished to express my deepest condolences and sympathy to you and, through you, to the bereaved families and those who have been affected by this tragic incident,” the message read.
“With the resilience of the Lebanese people and your able leadership, I am certain that the Republic of Lebanon will overcome the aftermath of this catastrophe,” he added.
Meanwhile, Thai Foreign Minister, Don Pramudwinai also sent a message of condolence to his Lebanese counterpart, Charbel Wehbe over the huge explosions in Beirut.
In his message, he said he was deeply saddened to learn of the explosions in Beirut on 4 August 2020, which have resulted in many deaths and injuries.
“In this moment of bereavement, we share your and the Lebanese people’s grief. I would also like to extend to you and, through you, to the families of the victims of this unfortunate incident my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences,” the message read. (TNA)
