BANGKOK, March 11 (TNA) – Thai Public Health Ministry reports six more Covid-19 cases, raising the total cases in the country to 59.
Six new patients are five Thais and one Singaporean man, said Sophon Iamsirithavorn, chief of the Communicable Disease Division.
Two cases are a woman and a man, working at Suvarnabhumi Airport. They had no direct contact with each other but their work involves foreigners and touching luggage and passports of travellers.
The third case is a 25-year-old Thai employee of a company. He was treated for pneumonia with an unknown cause. The man is now receiving treatment at the Bamrasnaradura Infectious Disease Institute. He has no travel history to many tourist sites in Thailand.
The fourth case is a 21-year-old Thai woman, who has recently returned from South Korea. She developed fever, cough and a running nose and was diagnosed with the Covid-19 and transferred to Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital on March 10.
The fifth case is a 40-year-old Thai man, who returned from Japan. He was admitted to a hospital and later found to be infected with the coronavirus.
The last one is a 36-year-old Singaporean business owner. He was diagnosed with Covid-19 on March 9 and referred to the Bamrasnaradura Infectious Disease Institute. (TNA)
