TOKYO, Oct 22 (TNA) Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha
and his wife on Tuesday attended the enthronement ceremony of Japanese Emperor
Naruhito.
Gen Prayut and Naraporn arrived in Tokyo Tuesday morning for
the visit to join around 2,000 dignitaries from over 180 countries and regions
at the ceremony called Sokui no Rei.
The prime minister was briefed on the ceremonial procedures
by Thai Ambassador to Japan Bansan Bunnag before attending the enthronement
ceremony at the Imperial Palace where Emperor Naruhito proclaimed his
enthronement following his accession to the throne in May.
Prayut is scheduled to attend a royal banquet hosted by the
emperor and empress at the Imperial Palace Tuesday evening.(TNA)
