RAYONG, July 18 (TNA) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Rayong office will organize the Rayong Seafood Month” tourism stimulus activities next month.
Director of TAT, Rayong office, Uthit Limsakul and deputy Rayong governor, Yutthapol Ong-artitthichai held a press conference to promote a gastronomic tourism campaign during the green season or the rainy season.
The director said local delicacies, combined with livelihood of fishermen would attract food-loving tourists to the seaside province of Rayong.
More than 100 food vendors will sell freshly cooked seafood to visitors, who will get 10 percent discount for orders of six signature menus.
They will also receive a 100-baht coupon to buy food at the fair if they stay at the hotels, participating in the campaign.
Six tourism routes to experience local fishermen’s ways of life will be launched to allow tourists to taste fresh seafood at the fishing villages.
The authorities estimate that the activities will increase the tourist number by at least three per cent. (TNA)
