BANGKOK, July 2 (TNA) – Sri Lanka’s ambassador to
Thailand Kshenuka Dhireni Senewiratne pays a courtesy call on Thailand’s Deputy
Prime Minister and Defence Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan before leaving her
post.
In the Monday’s meeting with Gen Prawit, Senewiratne thanked
for Thailand’s supports in performing her duty, said deputy spokesman of the
Defence Ministry Col Patcharasak Patirupanont.
Senewiratne who will become Sri Lankan ambassador to the
United Nations told Gen Prawit that she would continue to strengthen bilateral
ties between the two countries.
Gen Prawit praised Ambassador Senewiratne for promoting good
economic, security, military and cultural relationship of Thailand and Sri
Lanka.
He congratulated the ambassador for being appointed to the
UN mission.(TNA)
