CHIANG RAI, Dec 19 (TNA) – The police seized 10 million methamphetamine pills during a search on two vehicles in the northern province of Chiang Rai.
The police, manning a checkpoint on a road in Wiang Pa Pao district searched two pick-up trucks and found about 10 million meth pills, hidden in 50 sacks. Three men were arrested.
It is the large lot of illegal drug in the second drug bust in three days in Chiang Rai following the seizure of 18 million meth pills earlier in the same district.
The Office of Narcotics Control Board said drug producers and traders have been pressured by the authorities.
With a lack of drug syndicate’s couriers, they delivered the large amount of drugs from many traders in the same lot. As a result, the recent drug bust saw the seizure of the large amount of meth pills. (TNA)
